Cherry turnovers (made in air fryer)

 


These cherry turnovers are cooked in an air fryer.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Can cherry pie filling
  • 2 tsp Grated orange peel
  • 1 Package refrigerator pie crust (or low protein pie crust depending on tolerance)
  • 1 Tbsp Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • Melted butter
Directions:
  1. Combine pie filling and orange peel in a bowl
  2. Roll out pie crust and cut out 12 small circles
  3. Combine sugar and cinnamon in another bowl
  4. Put pie filling in the center of each piece of crust, and coat edge with melted butter and seal
  5. Apply melted butter to the top of turnover and sprinkle with cinnamon/sugar mixture.
  6. Preheat air fryer to 350 degrees and cook 12-15 minutes
