Daiya cheese sauce

 

The other day I was at the store and in a rush to purchase all of my groceries for our camping trip.  I saw this Daiya cheese and thought it was the Mac and cheese, so I grabbed it and tossed it in the cart.  Today when my husband went to make lunch I came out and the noodles looked odd to me.  I asked him what noodles he used, and he told me low protein noodles……well then what did you do with the noodles that came in this package……there weren’t any.  What?????  

Turns out this is just the cheese sauce (three packs of it) and no cheese.  I was so excited because that means I can use noodles appropriate to the amount of protein my daughter has left for the day.  If she needs a little more protein we can use it with gluten free noodles.  If she needs less than low protein noodles.  Woohooo…..I was so excited because there is no waste if she needs the low protein noodles.  

This product has one gram of protein per serving, and I found it at Walmart in the gluten free section.
