Lately I have been doing a lot more food prep, and one of the things I have been working on is creating meals in a jar. These are meals that you put all the ingredients in, and then when it comes time to cook them you toss the ingredients in a pot or pan and add water and cook. They are super easy!!! These are the best for days when I don’t feel like cooking.
I put together several containers of mock chicken noodle soup, and today I did creamy veggie casserole, and broccoli, cheese with rice casserole. All of these are modified versions of the regular recipes.
Over the years I have found modifying recipes to be one of the most beneficial things I can do for my daughter(s). By modifying recipes they never need to feel left our or alone in what they are eating. The food often looks very similar to what everyone ee is eating and tastes pretty darn good.
